The Museum of Innocence

The village children looked outside from behind the barred window. I was able to capture the moment from quite afar without disturbing their candid expression of longing. Their mother was right behind them in the courtyard and didn't want them playing outside in the harsh sun. Most of the houses are made of clay with smooth mud walls and floors. This house was a showcase of progress in this quaint village where cement and iron were being introduced slowly. Sandstone slabs were used for constructing short boundary walls and the fencing was made of thorny dried bushes.
